From a young age, Gee Zaran has always been drawn to the creative world. It was later, while wandering around with a camera in hand, that he discovered photography - and, apparently, a very good excuse to keep wandering.

While the digital world seems increasingly committed to making everything look perfectly polished, Gee is more interested in what happens when nobody’s posing. His photography focuses on candid moments, human connection, street life, and the wonderfully imperfect details that make a place - and the people in it - interesting.

Gee shoots with a digital SLR and has a particular fondness for images that feel real, a little gritty, and occasionally like he just happened to be standing in exactly the right place at exactly the right time. Sometimes it’s luck. He’s happy to let people think it’s skill.
